Wikis is a website that allows for a whole company to contribute. It is very flexible and adaptable. Wikis are created to provide knowledge base. It represents a grass roots approach. Many of us use wikis just to get a brief idea on what we need knowledge or where to begin our research. For example, in "An Internal Wiki That's Not Classified" by Noam Cohen, staff of the United States Embassy in Rome prepared the ambassador to meet an Italian political figure by providing him with biographies and reading them on his way to the meeting. Staff used Diplopedia to access the information of the biographies. Diplopedia is one of the most popular site in the State Department. Many will say this is the easiest way to find information. Even though anyone can contribute to this website, that person can't be anonymous and any suspicious accounts can be tracked down.
