Social Networking: A Purposeful Loss of Privacy Project Description

I chose to do my project on Social Networking: A Purposeful Loss of Privacy. I believe social networking is a great way for us to connect with people all around the world. Someone in New York City can now connect easily with some one in London. We can put ourselves out there to connect. However, how much information should we put online? I intend to cover aspects on how we are losing our privacy through social networking. What are the positive and negative effects? I would like to show a couple of case studies or articles were either this has a negative or positive impact towards someone's life. Has there been drastic changes? I plan to compare how networking has become effective via social media vs face to face. I also wonder how has social networking has impacted our daily life, whether that be we cant have social media due to our job, or do we just not care what we post. This is just a brief summary on the some points my project will discuss. I plan on going into further details.
